SDLFW is a cross-platform framework from the powerful SDL library to create your own 2D games with the Lua programming language.
It's easy-to-use, free, open-source, and works on Windows and Linux.

SDLFW is licensed under the LGPL license allows anyone to freely download, copy, use, modify, and redistribute SDLFW, proviso that any modification and/or extension to the source code is made publicly available under the terms of LGPL.
